My sons Toy Story 3 game wont play on his xbox, but plays on others?

Hopefully somone can shed some light on this, my son has toy story 3 game for xbox. 

It wont play on his xbox, but it plays on mine? This seems to be the only game there is any trouble playing on his.

I play Black ops on his and its fine

Ive cleared the cache, tried removing the hard drive, makes no differnce to this game! 

I have tried to installl the game but it only gets to 47% and says the disk needs cleaned, (which Ive done)

Its installed on mine ok, just wont on his, his is the white xbox and mine is the 's' one, could this be the differnce?

All ideas would be welcome!!!

try recovering the gamertag without using the harddrive then using 4gb-16gb usb flashdrive installing the game there -its sounds like the same error i get when i try to play borderlands dlc-zombie island ,claptrap rebolution-then again my issue was i have over 40+plus characters.:P
