I am having the same exact issue except I am not at a college, I'm at my private home. I have been using xbox live with no problems for a while now. Yesterday I had to reset my router because it got jammed up and none of our computers could connect to the
internet (I have 3 computers that were running at the time; the xbox was not on or connected; i can have up to 6 connections running on my router). I did shut downs on all 3 computers, then turned off the router and unplugged the power supply as well, waited
about 2 minutes, plugged in the power supply, turned on the router, waited about 2 minutes, then brought each computer back up. All 3 computers rebooted and connected with no problems. Later on in the afternoon I turned the xbox on and went to play a game
and it said the internet connection failed. I tested the connection and it connects to the network, but fails at the internet connection and says that my MTUs are not sufficient. I went in to my router settings and the MTUs are 1400 something, so they are
sufficient. I have reset to factory default on my xbox network config and I have also manually entered my DNS settings. I do not have a modem to connect directly through (my router is a gateway so it's all one piece) and xbox live support says it is at the
end of its support steps. PLEASE HELP! While I cannot connect my Gold Membership is being wasted.
