Can't connect through Apartment Web Portal

So I just moved in to a new apartment, which has a simple ethernet connection through a port in the wall.

My Xbox, when trying to connect to Live, says that it can connect to the Network but not the internet, and I have tried many different methods using the Xbox support walkthroughs to fix it.

When I got on to the internet using my laptop, the connection was established using a portal which I was redirected to which had me fill out information like my name, email address, apartment number, etc., and then had me agree to a terms of use.

I'm guessing that this is why I can't get on to the internet with my Xbox, is there any way to get around it?

I would set up your computer through Internet connection sharing, have the computer wired to the wall, and wire the console to the computer, then bridge connections. The only problem is you would need an extra eethernet port on your computer, most factory comps only come with 1.

So is the ethernet port in your wall connected to  a shared connection then, run by an administrator? Also, could you please take a few minutes to answer the questions listed here?
