Cannot access Memory from Settings

I have a 360 S w/ 250 GB HDD. It's an official HDD that came with the console. I currently have about 30 GB free. When I go into the settings and select memory I just get that spinning logo when something is trying to load and it never shows the connected devices. It never stops or goes away, it just continues to spin. I normally don't have a USB drive attached and when I do plug one in the same thing happens.

I first noticed this about two weeks ago. I've probably tried 30+ times and only once did it succesfully show the HDD and allow me to browse and manage my installed content. All of my games, DLC, and saves appear to be working just fine and I haven't had any problem loading the list of my games. I've tried accessing the memory immediately after turning on my console and after playing games for awhile but it doesn't make a difference.

Any ideas on what I can do to fix this so that I can manage my content?

You could try and clear your system cache, that usually speeds up the menus on the Xbox, however you will lose all your updates and temporary files (ex. Temporary halo3 or reach game recordings that have not been saved)

And if that doesn't work try just letting it load for like an hour if you are doing something else, i have a 120gig hdd on my elite and it takes some time sometimes because it has to load all the data that is stored onto it

You could also try unpluging your Hard drive and pluging it back in
