how can i download pictures from a removable disk?

my computer is not downloading my pictures from a removable disk, any suggestions?

More details please....what are you calling a Removable Disk?
And how are you accessing it?

Removable Disk as in going to...Start / Computer..and seeing
the list of Removable Disks that represent the slots of a media
reader? if_Yes_right click the Removable Disk that corresponds
with your memory card and choose Open or Explore from the
menu. This should display the directory of the card and allow
you to copy/paste or drag/drop the photos to a folder on your
hard drive.

Also you may need to adjust your AutoPlay settings:
