how many windows 8 versions are released?

As windows 7 is in various forms like ultimate,home premium,professional etc. I want to know that how many forms of windows 8 released ?

All of the edition names, such as Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional, and Ultimate have been deprecated.

There are basically only 2 editions that can be purchased at retail, in most countries, Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro.

All of the other versions have restrictions.

Windows RT: Only available pre-installed on ARM-based devices such as tablet PCs.

Windows Enterprise: Only available to business customers through a Software Assurance, volume licensing subscription.

Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro with the 'N' designation: Only available in the European market (Does not include Media Player).

Windows 8 Single Language edition: Only available in selected regions (Does not include multiple languages).

Windows 8 China: Only available in China (Cannot be sold or activated outside of China)

In addition to those listed in the above, there are is also Windows 8 Enterprise aimed at the business customer rather than the home consumer.
