How to clean install Windows 7 Professional 64-bit to a GPT partitioned hard drive

Hi,

I am trying to install Windows 7 Professional 64-bit to a clean hard drive using the provided DVD. I would like to use the GPT formatting option instead of MBR due to its increased abilities over MBR.

I understand that I need a motherboard that supports UEFI and I have made the necessary modifications to boot in UEFI from my motherboard.

How do I specify, when booting from the DVD, that I want to have a GPT partitioned hard drive?

Thanks for your help

To install Windows 7 on GPT is simple; while installing from windows 7 DVD, and you get to the segment that you can create or delete partitions press "shift+F10" this will open a command prompt and you can use diskpart to convert to GPT
