Method 1:

A "Stop: 0x000000A5" error message typically indicates that the computer Basic Input/Output System (BIOS)  is incompatible with the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) standard that is supported in Windows 7. However, this error can also occur because the computer hardware, the peripherals, or the drivers for those devices are incompatible with Windows 7.

I suggest you to contact the computer manufacturer for information about how to obtain and to install a BIOS update.

 BIOS DISCLAIMER:

 Modifying BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Unplug all external devices and try booting the computer and check if the issue persists.

Step 1:

Restart computer in safe mode and check if the issue occurs follow the steps in the link:

If safe mode works, restart computer in clean boot and check if any third party application is causing issue. Follow “step 1” in the link to enable to clean boot:

Follow step 3 from the article to “Reset the computer to start as usual”, after performing the clean boot troubleshooting.

Method 4:

You may perform startup using  Windows 7 installing disc. Follow the steps in the link:

Note: To start the computer from the Windows Vista or Windows 7 DVD, the computer must be configured to start from the DVD drive.

Chkdsk disclaimer:

While performing chkdsk on the hard drive if any bad sectors are found on the hard drive when chkdsk tries to repair that sector if any data available on that might be lost.
