Windows Ink and Wacom Tablets Issues

I am using a Wacom tablet with Photoshop CC 2014. In Photoshop 2014 the pen sensitivity will be disabled unless Windows Ink is turned on. Using Windows Ink with the pen has an annoying side effect - using the modifier keys will show a little box with the name of the modifier. This is crazy-annoying, I don't need to have a visual confirmation of which keys I am pressing.

How can I disable this function? When I first starting using Windows 7 with a tablet I had to research how to turn off the stupid droplet animation that happened every time I used the pen. I have look online to no avail. Nothing in gpedit.msc seems to work. Is there a registry work around?

Turning off Windows Ink when using the pen with Photoshop isn't a real option since I use the pen sensitivity a lot in may day-to-day retouching.

Hi Chappie,

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

As per the query, you have issues with Photoshop 2014 using the Windows Ink functionality for the pen sensitivity.

Unfortunately you don’t have any other option but to keep the Windows Ink functionality on for the Photoshop software while using the pen feature.

Hope this information helps, please get back to us for further support on Windows. We will be glad to help you.

Thank You
