Spam attack

I am receiving non-stop spam since this morning. I have received about 50-60 so far and they're still coming in. I can't seem to block them either as it says 'my digital name is not found.' Help anyone? Thanks

Same here. Since about Noon CT, I have received about 80 spam e-mails in my Inbox that don't even normally make it to my Junk folder. What's going on??

Me too, long standing outlook/hotmail user

I have had a bit of a creep in spam in the last 10 days of so

Then in the last 24 hours i have had loads. I have not changed any settings

I have been experiencing the same problem as others with regard to excessive spam to my inbox. I also noted that some messages that should come to my inbox are now found in my spam folder. This just began today 5/31/2016.

This has been happening to me since this morning too! like every few minutes i get ANOTHER spam email in my inbox. I have never had this happen before, so I just went and selected them all and sweeped - delete and then block future... but even since then i've gotten three more emails in the last 10 minutes.

I haven't changed a single setting or anything. What in the world is going on!?

Started this afternoon for me. I usually don't see junk mail in my inbox but since this afternoon I've had a couple dozen that I mark as junk but they keep coming.

Me too. Here's something of interest, and possibly a clue to tracking down the issue's roots....The spam only appears in my account if I'm using my Windows 10 outlook account. I use outlook 2012. If I sign onto the web-based( using the live.com url ) email application, I don't have these spam in that location.

I've received notice, a few days ago, that 2012 version of Outlook is being discontinued, and urging me to make sure and transfer use of all email accounts currently being used in 2012 to another application. I am wondering if this new influx of spam is related somehow?

And here's another problem with the spam....several of mine, when I've tried rt-clicking to delete them, won't delete! They give me a couple of different errors, instead, ones I've never seen.

I wish I had the same story. I am receiving them in my iPhone mail app, so I went online to outlook.com to see if there was just an issue with the mail app or a setting to change - unfortunately the same emails were in my inbox online as they were showing in my inbox on my phone.
