Outlook 2016 Will Not Open error: Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened

Please check out Outlook will not open error: Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window  for the latest information on this topic.

I've upgraded to WIN 10 and also upgraded to Office 365/2016.

Outlook 2016 will not open with this configuration.

Error message: "Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened".

I also cannot start Outlook in safe mode to check add-ons from previous version 365/213.

I note from reading various posts that sometimes Evernote can cause issues, but have also not had problem with Evernote and Office 365/2013.

Appreciate any advice that may be available to resolve the issue.

THIS WORKED!  However I did it slightly different:

1. Right click the Windows button, select Control Panel

2. Select Mail (Microsoft Outlook 2016) (32-bit)

3. Click Show Profiles

4. Remove the existing Profile (ALL PROFILES!)

5. Close Window

6. Start Outlook

7. Create a new Profile

CHEERS!
