Touchpad issue with Windows 10 Technical Preview.

i do use colorfull words in this video. 

its nice how u feel to make it so the touch pad for laptops work.

Please answer the questions that follow to help us understand the issue better:    

  1. Which build of Windows 10 Technical Preview are you working with?
  2. What is the make and model of your computer?

Since Windows 10 Technical Preview is still in development stage (testing environment), certain features might not work in the usual manner. We are looking forward to improve it and provide the best possible customer experience in the latest coming builds.

As of now since windows 10 is in developing stage and there will be no specific drivers available for this operating system.

I suggest you to download the touchpad drivers from Manufacturer’s website and install them in compatibility mode.

 

Refer the steps to install a driver in compatibility mode:

 

  1. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select Properties.

  2. Select Compatibility Tab.

  3. Place a check mark next to Run this program in Compatibility mode and select the operating system accordingly from the drop down list.

  4. Let the driver to install and then check the functionality.

no it didnt work, the build number is 9926. when i tryed out the window 8 technical preview the mouse worked. its a acer E3-111

Hi,

Try installing the new build 10049 available with improved features and better stability. Check if the issue persists. 

Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 10049 now available

  1. Go to Start >Settings >Update and recovery >Windows Update, and then select Advanced options.
  2. Under Choose how preview builds are installed, select the top list, and then choose Fast or Slow.

Windows 10 (build 10130) does not detect the synaptics touchpad on the acer e3-111 as of build 10130, nor can the drivers be installed (install fails) with or without compatibility mode.

On the windows 10 build 10162 I was able to install the touchpad drivers using version 18.1.2.1 of the synaptics driver from the acer website in compatibility (windows 8) mode. Needed to hit fn+f7 a few times too.
