Xbox Original Game - Stubbs the Zombie - Does not work on my 250gb slim

Do you have an official HDD in your console currently? If so, where was it purchased? Also, have you tried deleting the game, clearing your cache, and re-downloading it?

I am having exactly the same problem. I have an official HDD that was purchased with the xbox from a catalog store.On advice from xbox support I cleared system cache, deleted and re-downloaded the game. However, I'm still experiencing the same problem. Any further advice?

Hey Pianist, what store was your console purchased from specifically, and was it purchased used by chance? Are you having this issue with any other backwards compatible game?

It was bought brand new from a store called Argos, which is a big chain of stores in the UK. I don't have any old xbox games this is the first one I've tried. Also it's the first time I've downloaded a full game, I've only ever downloaded demos before, but never had this issue before.

Would it be possible to recover your account to a friend's console, who has previously played Backwards Compatible Games (or alternatively, to borrow their HDD for a short time)? If you do recover there, please try downloading and playing the game on their console.

Is there anyone who's managed to download this game successfully? Came onto the forums as having exactly the same problem as everyone else.

i am having the same problem too, but with GTA - SA deal of the week :D. i did the same thing, cleared the cache and reinstalled the update , deleted it, redownloaded it like 10 times and all i get is the message game could not start please download again

i'm Beakjuju Bean i'm using the same console as daks 12 i'm no expert but surely we should write to microsoft and complain i mean they misold a good which is a crime so even if they won't give us our points back at least take the highlighted games down from the market until they are repaired because i think it might be a problem with the file (due to people re-downloading multiple times) and also if not a refund at least a copy of the game that works. (that's why you take legal studies :P)

All mine does is it comes up with the xbox logo but there's no "grey ball" behind the X and then it cuts to a black screen. no music, no noise from the xbox, just silence. Not only that but it screws  my xbox up really badly. Since downloading that game my internet connection is GONE and half of the games in my library have disappeared...  any help?

Yeah I had the exact same problem. Buffering music black screen. I wrote to microsoft to ask what was up and I got a reply saying they needed "further information" And that I should call their tech support I did and they basically told me it was probably my fault. o_O
