This may already have been asked / answered, but it was not easy to search on, so forgive me.
When I turn my xbox one on, TV starts playing, but it is within one of the tiles on the dashboard. I then have to goto tv to actually watch TV.
It would be extremely useful if I could eliminate this step.
Not everyone understands how to use the voice commands, or that you need to grab a joystick to control the TV.
My wife just wants to turn it on and watch TV. If I have my parents over they just want to watch TV. They don't understand all this stuff. That's why I gave them all harmony remotes for their TVs. It is too confusing for some people.
I spoke with two people (one a "supervisor") on chat support, and they could not give me an answer.
Furthermore, they obviously had no clue as to what I was asking, and were asking me about resolution settings.
Not to mention, they were giving me steps to navigate my settings that were clearly wrong.
So, after much frustration I called support, which promptly hung up on me the first time.
The second time, a nice lady said that she believed it was not possible. I was happy that she understood my predicament, but unhappy that this was not an option.
So, for now, I'm forced to run TV around the xbox, and using my Harmony remote to set everything up nicely as before.
What a shame...
So please, can we get an option to support this?
Thanks
P.S. Windows media extender functionality is a must as well!
