Full arcade games can't be redownloaded after region change

Hello,

I have following problem with full arcade games:

At the end of 2010 I have migrated xbox live my account from UK region to Czech (which is also my physical region). Then in February 2011 I have bought a new xbox. I have migrated most of the content physically on USB flash disk. I didn't migrate some of the arcade games this way, because I though I could redownload them.

But then I have found a problem. The games that weren't migrated physically can't be downloaded again properly. They are displayed as trial versions only. When I try to unlock them, marketplace tells that I have bought them already and when I click download again it either shows message "can't be downloaded" or it finishes, but after I run them they are still in trial version mode.

I have tried to migrate licences to my new xbox. I tried to delete temporary system files and marketplace files. In my download history the items, older than the date of the migration from UK to Czech account, show only as "content unavailable" and can't be marked for download again.

The list of problematic games:

Defense Grid

Monkey Island SE

Interpol

Battlefield 1943

Magic the Gathering

Braid

Shadow Complex


Other games that are not even listed in Czech markeplace (I guess there's nothing what could be done to retrieve them):

Double Dragon

Bomberman Live

**** Heroes 1

Puzzle Quest

Puzzle Quest Galactrix


Is there anything what could be done to fix it? Or if not, is there possibility for refund?

When you performed the ACCOUNT MIGRATION there were numerous warning prompts that told you exactly what would happen if you proceeded with the migration.

 

Before you migrate your account, there are some important things that you need to know:

  • Some services might not be available in your country. To find information about Xbox LIVE features available in a specific country, please visit the Xbox.com website for that country.
  • Previously purchased or downloaded content (for example, videos, games, and add-ons) cannot be downloaded again after migration. Previously purchased content is not refundable, and there is no guarantee that it will work after migration.
  • Account migration is not reversible. You cannot migrate an Xbox LIVE account back to the originating country. For example, you cannot migrate from the United States to the Czech Republic, and then back to the United States.

Nope  if you read the warning of the migration once you migrate you lose access to previous downloads only by keeping the Old console could you keep the old dlc and no moving it to a USB drive will not solve  the issue

Clearly stated that you cannot redownload the content nor is there refunds for migration and content

To move to a new console the old gamertag and redownload the content and remain on live at all times

thats how the DRM works

this prevents people from copying the games and selling it

Ok thanks for showing me. I thought that the content will be still available for redownload if the new zone has it available on marketplace. My fault :)

nope but you can repurchase them

when you change regions you lose access to the original language dlc

dlc tends to be limited by language and regions

czech dlc won't be compatiable with EN disks

if the en version isn't available in the new region which alot of them aren't

Well actually I'm afraid I can't repurchase them either. When I try to download it, the marketplace knows I have already bought it, but the game is still in trial mode. I don't see a chance to have the games in full mode on my account again.
