£35 for LA Noire at game

I almost got it yesterday until I saw all the tradins behind the counter.....Glad I didnt..  Just ended up getting Rockstar Table Tennis again for $2.00  .   Great game too

Who could regret buying one of the best games this year. O wait it isn't a shooter or GTA is it.

This does my head in. I want to trade LA Noire, only because I wanted a shooter or GTA?

1. I played GTA for about an hour and abandoned it, not my thing.

2. I had lots of good things to say about LA Noire, just found it far too repetitive, tiny little crimescenes, and not for me. (have completed it)

It just grates me, that the majority opinion (in this forum) seems to be, if you didnt like LA Noire or want to trade, or expected more, then you didnt do your research or are not intelligent enough to understand the 'leap' taken by Bondi/Rockstar.  Or, you wanted a GTA clone.  Maybe some people thought that although it was a beautiful game to look at, with an awesome soundtrack, It fell a bit short on the detective side. Challenging crime scenes, slippery suspects, ability to mess up cases with hasty judgements, and what not.  This game was just underwhelming to me, and didnt live up to the pre release hype.

So, whilst I'm never THAT influenced by the forums on buying/not buying a game, but I'd only heard how "revolutionary" LA Noire was and haven't bought it through lack of the cash to do so. At least now I know it's probably worth a play but it can wait a while longer. I've yet to dislike a Rockstar game, in spite of really not getting far into GTA before losing interest, so. Still crossing my fingers for LA Noire. Nice to see someone putting in both sides of their opinion on something anyway, so cheers for that Spuudle.

Funny, L.A. Noire is the only Rockstar game that I've ever liked.

Like I say BackupLight, Its a beautiful game and the music is great.  It is definately worth a play.

However, I have completed the game and do not have much interest in going back to it.  Maybe next year.  If in the meantime I can get such a good trade in price, then id like to try a different game.  If you can get it for a good price, go for it.

Maybe it is, maybe it isnt? I dont know.  

I just dont like the why on earth would you want to trade?, its so awesome. You must have wanted a GTA clone or cant play anything thats not a shooter.  Its complete nonsense, in my case anyway.

Yeah, everybody has their own tastes. I personally cannot take the monotony of walking around, shooting and nothing else. The GTA titles I played were cool for an hour or so. There was nothing to keep the mind interested. That's the problem I have with the vast majority of today's games... They are either all alike or offer little outside of mindless action. Even genres that used to require some thought are being so dumbed-down, it's pathetic.
