Xbox 360 very slow startup

Hi, I hope I'm posting this in the right forum, but as the title suggests, my Xbox 360 has been taking awhile to start up recently and I was hoping someone knew of an easy fix.

I have a Xbox 360 Slim 4G edition (The flat black console, not the glossy black) and every time I turn on the console, the Xbox 360 logo appears, but then I get a black screen for about 30 seconds before the dashboard shows up.  Everything else seems to be in working order, but I know that the 30 second pause isn't normal.  I've tried clearing the system cache, formatting the system hard drive, disconnecting my ethernet cable, and even removing my second hard drive (250G internal, non-USB) but nothing seems to change.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Are either of your Storage areas full? I suggest having at least 512MB of memory on each storage device. If you do have 512MB of storage available I think the console needs service
