Prepaid cards are no longer accepted.

Today my xbox live subscription expired and I got from the italian support service a bad news: prepaid cards are no longer accepted.

This choice of yours is totally nonsense and I feel compelled to leave Xbox and buy a PS as I don't have nor a credit card neither a debit card. This is not fair and outrageous.

You don't have to use a credit or debit card to purchase gold. You can purchase a gold subscription card  at a retailer.

I believe PSN also does not accept pre-paid cards.  Smwutches has the best idea. Far easier to buy a XBOX Live card

I live in a very small village on an island and here the postal service is extremely slow. The nearest retailer is 70km far and no. For me it's not "far easier to buy an XBOX Live card".

PSN accepts pre-paid cards since I have a PS GO and my paypal works well.

Depends on the card itself

Not xbox live

Alot of prepaid cards dont actually accept subscriptions or online services

Thats something you will have to talk to support on ykur card services

First it has to support online transactions and reoccuring purchazes hence why real creditcards are needed

Its upto you it is really your choice

If i were you id get a different card provider

You can also get prelaid membership codes from your local etailer in your country most countries have one

Actually you should be able to use your paypal account to purchase the Live time as well.  So long as it's attached to your bank account, that is.
