Merge accounts/gamertags?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I have an existing Windows Live ID and gamertag which I use to play games on my PC.

I was recently given an XBox. When I tried to log in to XBox Live, I was unable to access my existing account (an error message popped up to tell me that "this email address is associated with an existing gamertag"). I was forced to create a new accountr with a new gamertag and a different email address.

Is there any way that i can now merge the two accounts? I have two gamertags with two Live accounts registered at two different email addresses... not very convenient!
