Keep randomly disconnecting from xbox live for no apparent reason.

This has been happening for quite some time now, where I will disconnect from xbox live at random times, when I load up a game, and when I initially turn on my xbox and sign on. I'm pretty sure that it's not my internet because not only does it work when my xbox won't (my xbox is wired where as my computer is not) it also has no problem re-signing on right after I have been disconnected. Also here is my internet speed so that you don't try and blame that (it's usually about 65-70mb/ps down and 15mb/ps up but it's being a bit slow right now)  http://stage.results.speedtest.comcast.net/result/222147272.png

What Country/State/Province do you live in? United States, GA

Router brand & model number: Belkin; F9k1109 v1

Things you have tried: Resetting router, modem too, new IP address, opening private ports on the router for the xbox to use, manually setting up network settings on my xbox, customizing router's firewall, temporarily disabling the router's firewall, deleting and re-downloading xbox live account, clearing system cache, disconnecting ethernet cable from both the router and xbox, uninstalling and reinstalling the system updates, and I'm sure there is more than that but you get the point I've tried a lot of things but at this point I'm so annoyed that I'm willing to try almost anything that I have not already done just to fix this stupid problem. So please if you know of a solution please tell me.

Greetings Demon!

Could you verify if you can connect properly if the Xbox is directly connected to the modem. If so, it's probably an issue with your router and the first thing you should do is check for firmware updates. Visit Belkin webpage and make sure your router is up-to-date with the latest version of firmware.

Could you tell us how you have configured your router.

Thanks!

The impossible just takes a little longer

The more items you have connected to your wifi, the worse our connection will be. Computers, wireless modems for tv, smart phones, etc. all take up bandwidth, and can slow your connection. I've have actually had too many things connected to my wifi and had the same problem as you. Turing off the wifi connectivity to things you're not using might help resolve your issue!

I am usually the only one on the internet with my xbox and my 360, and I have with the modem it does the same thing for no apparent reason.

Forgot to mention that it happens less with it directly plugged in but it still happens, and for as to how I have it set up I have several private ports open only to my xbox, I have allowed my xbox through the firewall just in case that was the problem (it actually got worse), set up intellistream (which just increases amount of bandwidth allowed to consoles), and I've done a few other things that I can't remember off of the top of my head. I don't think it's the router though because I've tried it with 4 different ones including the one I am currently using.

Sounds like the local profile is out of date or corrupted, and when an app or routine asks for data from it, it causes the involuntary disconnection. I'd start by clearing the system cache (it's just temporary files plus game updates, automatically reloaded) by:

1) Please do Settings | System Settings | Storage

2) Move over any hard drive or memory unit (not the Cloud) & press (Y) on your controller & pick Clear System Cache.

3) When asked to confirm storage device maintenance, choose Yes.

Re-download

4) Tap the silver Xbox Guide button

5) Select Download Profile (and if you don't see it, press the blue X button to make sure you're not signed in) and proceed with Profile Download.

6) Enter the Microsoft Account addresse for your Xbox LIVE gamertag when asked.

7) Enter the password for the Microsoft Account.

7A) If your account is an Xbox LIVE child account, the parent’s Windows Live ID & password is required as well to download your profile.

8) Pick the storage device for your profile (choose Hard Drive if you have one, or Memory Unit if you don't have a Hard Drive).

9) When the download completes you will be asked if you want the console to remember your password. If it's your home console, I'd say yes, otherwise I'd think carefully about leaving my profile unprotected on somebody else's Xbox!

10) Sign in, and retry.

vl MkLvNtWr lv,  these forums work best when you create a new thread with a first post of your own, as the original poster's problem and solution, although similar, could be very different in detail. It's great that you're researching here, but the quickest path to a solution is your own new thread.

No, I haven't tried creating my own forum, mostly because I don't know how, but if you are referring to clearing my system cache and re-downloading my account, yes. It worked for about 20 minutes but then just cut out again.

The issue sees to happen with certain games. Full House Poker is one of them when you go back to the dashboard and reconnect it works again. I assuming its a compatibility issue and something either the developer or microsoft need to tackle
