I have tried everything to connect. I need help!!!

What Country/State/Province do you live in? Amarillo, TX
Modem brand & model number: **** Model# TM602G/115
Router brand & model number: Cisco/Linksys E4200
Network Connection Type: Wireless/Wired: Either really. Wireless just won't connect at all while wired is sketchy
If Wireless, what type of encryption are you using? WPA2
Things you have tried:

I have tried xbox support with my ISP guy from the cable company out here on the phone with him. I have tried automatic connection, static connection, forwarding ports 53, 88, 80, and 3074. I have tried hardwired to the router. I have tried direct to the modem and that didn't even work! Here's the deal though, I always have fail between the internet and xbox live test. When I made the static IP, it will connect but when I try to sign in, it says there's a problem with my connection. Sometimes when I scan for a network, it won't find it at all. Sometimes it will. Sometines I connect but can't sign in. Sometimes not! I'm about to die here!

I got a this new router because our connections were weird. Thought it may be my router. Went and got this new router and it rocked for about 3 weeks but the connection got weird and intermittant and finally just quit connecting so the suddenlink guy came out and replaced my modem and all cables on the side of my house. He said my ping was around 47. Said it was good. Still we couldn't get the thing to connect to xbox live. He got on support with xbox and they never got it going. So, I've been experimenting myself. I restored xbox to factory default, restarted my modem, restored my router, deleted my router, reinstalled router..... My iPhones work great on my network. Xbox says it's connecting but just won't sign on to xbox live. Even connected hardwired....I was getting errors and stuff in the middle of games. I even tried direct to the modem and it would even connect to the network.

Is UPnP Enabled? Yes
What type of internet do you have? Cable
Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)? Suddenlink
When you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" what is the exact message shown on screen? I've had them all I think.

Hey mate, it's definitely troublesome that you're getting an issue when you're connected directly to your modem. To be sure, did you reset your modem when did a direct, wired connection to it (which you can preform by unplugging power to the modem for 30 seconds)? If you did, please list what specific errors you're receiving when connected directly to the modem.

I did try it last night. Still no luck...... Direct to the modem.

Here's the error:

Can't obtain an IP address from your router or modem.

Your router or modem may not be automatically assigning an IP address.

On your PC, go to your router configuration webpage. Make sure DHCP is enabled and has a large enough address range for all devices on the network.

Also make sure that your router's MAC filtering allows your console's MAC address or is disabled. Your console'sMAC address is 7CED8D37F58D

When you're plugging directly into your modem with the xbox, you need to unplug the power and also the battery from your modem for around a minute.

OK, if I connectdirect to the modem, take out the battery, and restart, then I connect just fine and there are no problems. So does that mean it's my brand new Cisco/linksys E4200 router? That thing's supposed to be a really good router!!!
