HDMI Question

Hello Xbox Community,

 

I still have a launch xbox360 without a HDMI output. I'm still using a component cable to setup my xbox 360 to my full HD screen.

I have some screen troubles sometimes when i use the xbox '(screen flickering, Screen scales to another ressolution sometimes.) but dont know if its bec. of i'm using a component cable or not.

I know there was a cable with HDMI output on te market but i can't find it anywhere where i life.  (the Netherlands)

Also the cable is hard to find on the interwebs. :)

Anyone know how i can fix this? And no i'm not gonna buy the xbox 360 s bec. if the rumours are true there will be a new xbox within 2years.

Do you know anyone that has a video cable you can borrow? I suggest trying another VGA calbe, to determine if the console is having an issue or not. Alternatively, you may want to try it on another display.

Thank you for the reply.

I've tried it on another tv screen (HD Ready screen) and there is no screen flickering. But when i use the guide button (the big green X button in hte middle) it still scales to another ressolution. This is verry anoying bec. its hard to read my friends list and see my achievements. The  My little brother has an xbox 360 but he's using a HDMI cable. He has an xbox 360 arcade. And he says he doesn't have an component cable. So there is no way i can test if its the cable or not.

I don't have any waranty left so i also can't send it for repair sadly. :(
