Hi
I've just got my new xbox 360 and is very pleased with everything but one thing:
No games display well and become very dark.
HDMI out to 40" Sony Bravia LCD TV.
It always looked perfekt running from a Sony DVD and Playstation as well as TV broadcast.
I spent 3 hours experimenting with settings for Setting->Console->Display, Standard, Intermediate, Expanded and redoing settings on TV - brightness, contrast and backlit.
Starting Alan Wake which has it's own settings - I get decent result setting to max bright.
Running Forza it's too dark.
Running Dirt 2 and 3 it's too dark(those I know from Playstation before and never had to adjust anything).
I cannot find the obvious settings in Xbox - brightness and contrast.
Where are they?
If TV and DVD looks great - Xbox games are too dark.
If TV and DVD look a bit too bright - Xbox games look almost decent, but now quite.
Why do one have to fiddle with this, when a simple brightness, contrast in xbox would fix it.
Any tips?
Any patched firmware for Xbox that let you adjust this?
Are there any hardware boxes with hdmi in and out that can do this for you - adjust data on the fly?
Or do they introduce too much latency when playing?
Thank you .
