Hello,
I am unable to create a new compressed (zipped) folder in my Vista machine. I can right click on the desktop or within a folder and when I slide down to "New" the option for a compressed (zipped) folder is not there. I had a program called PeaZip installed
that handled .zip files among other files, and I thought that was the problem, so I uninstalled it and that did nothing. Then I found a site that said I should copy the Compressed (zipped) folder from c:\users\default\appdata\microsoft\windows\sendto and
paste it in the directory c:\users\<my user name>\appdata\microsoft\windows\sendto (I tried to remember the pathnames by memory, I'm sure you get the point if I missed a folder somewhere in there).
That solution didn't fix the problem. In fact, it didn't seem to do anything. Any help with this problem is greatly appreciated.
Also, I was unsure which forum to put this in, as "Files and Folders" would seem more appropriate if it were a category. I apologize if I selected an inappropriate forum.
