Sony vaio with win8 won't boot. need the safe mode!!!!!!

Come on guys... I have this sony vaio computer, and time to time it just won't boot, for no apparent reason, I use the DVD, boot in safe mode, delete the video cards drivers (nvidia) and shutdown hyperv virtual network connections, and it will boot. Today I've used hyperV, and when I tried to reboot the machine it won't boot. (I'm almost sure, every time this happen is after I use hyperV) The previous time this happened I've created a safe mode boot entry hopping the next time I could boot with safe mode even if I didn't have the DVD nearby. Now it happened again, and guess what... this stupid computer does not show the boot choice menu, it is stuck in this ugly blue win8 icon with those crapy white balls going around. And now the stupidiest thing of all: I don't have here my DVD, and i'm thousands of kilometers from home :( I ask Microsoft: How in the **** will I boot my computer? I really don't know what to do? I have to work you know... I need the computer, I have documents there that I don't have in this macbook (I only use mac for iOS development). :( Dawn Microsoft, I'm starting to hate you guys, this is so frustrating. Is win8 in the phone is also this trustful?... Just put back the safe mode menu option instead that not good for nothing recovery system (this system is just for time spending it will not help me at all).

Sure sounds like a hardware issue. Was Windows 8 on the computer from the factory
or was it an upgrade? Either way you should check with Sony Support, their on-line
documentation, and ask in their forums about known issues.

Hardware problem? Maybe.
I've managed to get an ISO of my DVD. I was able to boot the system in safe mode.
Once again, I disabled all the hyperv related devices from device manager and reboot.
The system reboot normally. Now I don't understand how can this be a hardware problem? Is my CPU damaged or memory?

Hi,

 

There is a way to do this....

 

1st   Restart your machine....then hit CTRL-ALT-DEL...before the BLUE WINDOW....this causes the
        machine to restart.

 

2nd  Again hit CTRL-ALT-DEL before the BLUE WINDOW.

 

3rd   Let the machine boot this time....it will start at PREPARING AUTOMATIC REPAIR,

         Then DIAGNOSE, and finally, ATTEMPTING REPAIRS. (about 10 minutes)

 

THEN the options will appear.

1) Select ... ADVANCED OPTIONS

 

2) This Window...Choose TROUBLESHOOT

 

3) Again select ADVANCED OPTIONS

 

4) Select ... WINDOWS STARTUP SETTINGS

 

5) Select ... RESTART

 

After Restart you will end up at the window F8 used to produce.
Total time on my machine...about 15 minutes...not fast, but no installation media necessary.

There just is not enough information on our end at time to determine if Windows itself has
any role in the issue.

Was this an upgrade or was Windows 8 installed from the factory?

Definitely check with Sony for updates to BIOS, low level chipset drivers, and the major on-board
and separate device drivers.
