Forever Stuck at These Two Updates, KB265651 & KB2600217

Hi Guys,

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. I was not sure when did I off the auto update function until last 2 weeks. I turned it back on and I update everything that were pending. Then until this week, I keep having the same two updates (KB265651 & KB2600217). And every time I shut down my laptop, it keeps showing the screen where the updates are being applied. It's already the 7th day, the same updates still appear in Windows Updates and also keep "updating" whenever I shut down my laptop.

It seems that the updates are downloaded and ready for install but my laptop didn't mentioned that the updates installation failed, but just keep repeating telling me the same updates available.

I tried repairing .NET Extended and .NET Client Profile in Control Panel, but they seems to have the below errors.

For .NET Client Profile:

It's log file:

For .NET Extended:

I tried uninstalling .NET Extended then .NET Client Profile wishing I could reinstall them, but even the uninstallation wouldn't work. I tried using Microsoft Fix it, but it did not found any problems. I am now stuck at this point where I have to always wait for it to finish "updating" only my laptop can fully shut down.

Note: A member of sevenforums.com told me to try repairing both .NET Client Profile and .NET Extended and thus I did.

How do I get rid of it? Hope to hear from you guys. Thanks

Hi,

The .NET framework is a part of Windows that's used to build, deploy, and run programs. The .NET Framework is a key Microsoft offering and is intended to be used by most new applications created for the Windows platform. Hence, it is recommended to install all the versions of Microsoft .Net framework.

Follow this link to repair all versions of .Net Framework.  Please note that you will have to install all versions of .Net Framework after the cleanup.
