XP Network - new Windows 7 laptop cannot see printers or XP computers
I have an existing network with XP desktop connected to Netgear wireless router - which is connected to cable modem and another XP computer (both wired connections). I have a new laptop with Windows 7. It can connect to internet by wireless but cannot
see the XP computers or the attached printers.
Can the two XP conputers 'see' each other and the printers?
Two suggestions:
Make sure the network workgroup name is the same for all computers/workstations. Turn _off_ network passwords at least while you get it all set up and working. Then set up passwords or set up an account with the same user/pass on all networked computers/workstations.
