how do I remove obsolete outlook.pst file?

Outlook 2007 and Win 7 32 bit on new computer and copied outlook .pst from old computer to new computer.  Setup current email account on new computer and it created am empty outlook1.pst file and another set of Personal Folders.  I want to remove the outlook1.pst file from outlook completely.  I have setup Outlook to use the outlook.pst file and deliver new messages there.

Tried deleting the registry key for outlook1.pst and it comes back when I start outlook.

ANy ideas how to remove the unwanted file?

Answer
Answer

Did you try removing it from Tools, Account settings, data files tab? This, or right clicking on it and choosing Close is the correct way to remove a pst from a profile.

if the pst is a "ghost" of another pst in your profile, see http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/ghosts.htm
