unable to connect to Wi-fi using Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230

When I start up Windows 10, my wireless is always not working (driver issue is reported).  I get the following errors:

Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 2230 : Could not allocate the resources necessary for operation.

Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 2230 : The version number is incorrect for this driver.

If I disable the NIC and reenable it, it begins to work again.  Any ideas on what may be causing this?

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community Forums and posting your query on it.

I understand that you are facing issues with connecting to the wireless network after restart. We are really sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. Since Windows 8.1 is an all new operating system, you might be facing this issue due to the incompatibility of the network driver with Windows 10 TP. You could resolve this issue by installing the driver in compatibility mode.

You can rdownload the latest driver for the network adapter from the following link.

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&FamilyId=1783&ProductID=3507&ProdId=3507

Now, to install in Compatibilty Mode, follow these steps:
a. Locate the executable file (.exe file) for the driver installation program.
b. Right-click the file, and then click Properties.
c. In the Package Name Properties dialog box, click the Compatibility tab.
d. Click to select the Run this program in compatibility mode for check box, click Windows 8 with which it is compatible with in the Run this program in compatibility mode for list, and then click OK.
e. Double-click the executable file to start the installation program.

Hope this helps.
Please post back if the issue persists and we will be glad to assist you further.
