Xbox One vs Xbox 360 games

I am totally not satisfied with the new Xbox One that is not compatible with the xbox 360 games. Microsoft should have made it compatible, now I need to buy new games for the titles I already own. They never said that the Xbox One would not play Xbox 360 games, this tactic will slow sales, I for one I am so disappointed that I will sell my Xbox One as soon as I can and stay with my Xbox 360S.

To Microsoft, this was a dirty sales pitch and my new gaming console will not be a Microsoft product or buy any more xbox games from now on.

Actually they announced several months ago that the One would not be backwards compatible. It's been widely known for a long time.

Yes it has been known for a very long time.

Most next gen console are not going to be compatible with the previous gen. Always been that way. They are made different. There is still a chance 360 games could come in some form using the cloud servers.

Not everybody knew this, in xbox live promotion didn't said anything about the legacy games. Well, that should teach me to trust Microsoft.

The page listed here has been like this since the console was announced with specifications back in June of 2013.

Clearly lists: "Games, Kinect and accessories made for Xbox 360 or original Xbox will not work with Xbox One."

It's been publically announced for a long time, if you didn't know it's because you weren't paying attention.  Microsoft hasn't stated that it would be backwards compatible for a long time, if ever.

The PS4 is in the same boat.

Microsoft is working on a workaround.

Making it backwards compatible probably would have added another $100 on the pricetag, or cut into the already slower hardware.
