Too Human

After watching the killing video, I was so hyped for this game, and a major let down once I played.  Was anyone else caught by the hype, or did you/do you enjoy it?

Was anyone? Most likely everyone was caught up in the hype. I had fun playing it but it was no where near the level of the hype. You will still have a small fan base that swears by the game

This fan base believes that the reviews, not the game play, killed the game. That the controls are "ahead of its time". And its fine to think so

however I , for one, think it was not well done and did not live up to its hype. In closing 1/4th of the game you could have played in the free demo (as the game only had 4 levels and the first level was in the demo)

There is plenty I could complain about but I'll pick the most annoying two.

 

The camera was a nightmare, as enemies could attack you from off-screen but  you were unable to attack back.

 

Then there was the Valkyrie death sequence. Now this was quite nice the first time it happened but it was very long and you could not skip the sequence. You would be seeing that woman one whole hell of a lot.

I was excited for it. Turned out to be tied with Two Worlds as two of the worst games I have ever played.

I actually enjoyed it, I avoided the hype for the game, so I went in with low expectations... and found it a lot better then I was expecting!

Low expectations.  And that is exactly what I got from playing the game.  And that death scene.....never have I seen a death sequence so many times.

Yep.  But as noted, it was one of the greatest sales jobs for a game.  Then, there was the actual game. :(
