"Perfect Circle Scratch"

My brother moved the 360 console while he was playing the game. He didn't accidentally move it and now there is a "perfect circle scratch'. This disc was Black ops, and no longer can I play any maps (Zombies or Multiplayer) online or offline. I tried someone else's disc and it worked perfectly. My brother wants me to help pay for a new one because he says that because I sometimes left the game in the console, or left the game laying out outside of its cover, that this is also part of the problem. When he first started playing the game, it worked fine. And then in the middle of the match, he moved the console. The game still loads up to the point where you are about to start playing on a map, and stops there. I think this is proof enough that it's his fault and should pay for the new game in its entirety, but he still wants a confirmation. Please respond quickly.

Hey mate, if the console is moved while the game is in use, it can very well cause a scratch. That scratch would not occur if the game was not being used, or if the console was not moved. Hope this helps.

i am sorry to tell you but your disc is laser burned from your console being moved while the disc is in. this is not necceserally a problem as you can easily take your game to a game store and ask them how much it will be to get your disc repaired -skimmed , this will completley remove this circular scratch. i know this from past experiences as my old xbox console fell over with my brand new modern warfare 2 inside this should help

It's been known for a while that moving devices with lasers (Laptops, Blu-Ray players, etc) will not end up well for the disc.

As for the dispute you and your brother are having, we're not here to resolve family problems. It seems to me that he's making excuses, though :D
