what do you expect it's a BATTLEFIELD game, they have always been great for Multiplayer, since Battlefield 1942 on the PC.

and Battlefield 2 Modern Combat on the orginal Xbox.

Hey everyone, just wondering if I should pick up the Ultimate Edition of this game at GameStop? I really think it looks fun and it's pretty inexpensive now but I have some standards:

- How's the campaign? Is it long lasting?

- Do a lot of people still play this game online?

- Is it easy to get use to from CoD or Halo controls?

- Is it laggy ever? I have a pretty bad connection (can be great sometimes) but when it's not, I hope to be able to play this game without lag, so is it bad when it lags or is it still playable?

I also strongly advise that you try not to snipe right off the bat(you probably will, but at least I tried). You'll pick up what the game's about faster if you learn to use the other classes first imo. Take time to learn the game. Battlefield is not a pick up and play game like the others. Transitioning from CoD to Battlefield probably won't be as smooth as you'd like. They're two totally different games. Everything you do in CoD will only get you killed faster in BF and might frustrate you to the point where you won't give Battlefield the fair try it deserves. It's a quality game.

@MajorLuck -- I bought the Ultimate Edition.  It comes with a handful of goodies, unfortunately I haven't really tried any of them out.

As for the game itself, I flew through the single player campaign and managed to get all of those achievements over 3 nights of limited playing time.  The multiplayer has been a mixed bag for me.  I'm now a level 2, almost to 3 and for the most part I die A LOT.  I'm playing mainly with the assault class.  I like to run into the mix and see action.  Somehow, miraculously I managed to get a kill streak of 9 last night.  Its definitely a game that is WAY more fun if you're online playing with a friend.  I will say that much.

Sounds like it's a lot of fun. I really like MoH so I should love BFBC2. (Also, SOOO glad they have dedicated servers. I didn't know that but know I really want it!)

I gotta agree with the OP.  I bought this game pretty much when it came out.  And since then I've played all the others but always gravitate back to this one.  I'm not even that good.  Probably below average compared to most people who are still around.   But this game is just so damn fun.

I'm re-loving this game. Played the MP for the first time yesterday after a long hiatus.
