Having issues with getting an achievement on one of my xbox games.

Ive been playing soul calibur 4 faithfully for the last month and a half working on obtaining all the achievements. I have spent countless hours breaking down every achievement down the t. There is one achievement in particular that has been driving me crazy and its called 'Transcend History and the World.' Basically the achievement says to obtain all items and equipment for every character in the game, and I have done so. Ive double checked my double checks on every character looking for any flaw in my progress, and Im beginning to think this achievement is glitched because as I have looked online for support through gaming communities and online guides I am not the only person out there who struggles with this issue. Apparently some gamers get it, and others do what successful gamers have done but fail to receive the credit for their hard work. Is there someone out there in the microsoft community who can answer my question because this game is slowly but surely finding its way to my tool shed where I can smash it into little pieces...

Did you unlock the guest character's weapons? It's a pain to remember they even have different weapons, because you can't customize them at all other than that.

I mean Algol, the Star Wars characters, & the bonus characters.

You need to unlock all characters and complete story mode with all of them once.

- You need around 1 million to 2 million to buy all equipment for males and females (estimate).

- 8 weapons x 33 characters (60k average)

- You do not need to complete all levels of TOLS to get this achievement

- Check Voldo if you can't get the achievement, apparently, there is an item called "Imprisoned Mask" that only Voldo can buy

I have done all of that. I already spent about 2.7 million in items and weapons, and Ive checked all the special characters like the star wars and bonus characters, and also went through voldo, yoshimitsu, nightmare, algol, and lizard man to see if they had something the other characters didnt. Some people are saying that the achievement does glitch though so Im wondering if thats the case or maybe there is one small thing Im failing to realize. Now I know they say that after you get like 30-35 of the game achievements that you no longer need to unlock items in TOLS, but are there still a handful of items that you dont unlock through the achievements?

My guess would be you're missing items you can only get from TOLS and that's what's preventing the achievement from popping.

I have solved my problem. I was missing story mode with one character I overlooked. My suggestion to anyone who reads this:

Some posts will tell you to check character creation and overlook to make sure you have all 8 weapons for all 34 characters as well as all the equipment and special accessories, but a good tool for when you are confused as to what characters you have all weapons for (either purchased or unpurchased) is to check the endings for completed story modes. That is how I solved my issue and of course look for an online equipment checklist on gamefaqs in the FAQ section to check off what you have. NOTE: You really do not have to complete TOLS, you can unlock all equipment by getting 30-35 game achievements.
