Directv genie mini DVR fast forward does not work

Having the exact same issue here. Other than this, everything works like a charm. I would just hate to have to remove the passthrough just so I can see where I am fast forwarding too.

I'm also having the exact same problem.  I had the Genie installed a few days after getting the One.  I just had a DirecTV tech come out to look at the problem.  He said DirecTV often runs into weird issues like this when trying to pass through other componets such as low end surround sound receivers.  I really enjoy the Live TV feature on the One and really hope there is a solution to this!

Same problem here.  My chain is Mini->Xbox One->Yamaha RX-V475.

Same problem here.  I called Directv thinking it was a mini Genie problem but it is not.  Definitely undermines the point of having passthrough.  Hope there is a fix soon.  In the meantime, I am thinking about moving my Xbox One out of my living room and putting my PS4 there until there is a fix.

Hey guys, this is a known issue we are investigating. As a temporary workaround, some users have moved the mini to a room without the Xbox and put the Genie in the room with the Xbox.

Thanks for the response Studbucket33.  So you can confirm this problem doesn't happen with the main Genie box? I didn't' think about switching them.  

I replied in the other thread about this. The fix of moving it to a non genie mini room won't work for me because I have two Xbox ones for two rooms.

Has anyone tried changing the compatible screen resolution in the genie mini? Usually it has various ones checked off as to what the screen res is...maybe now that it is in the chain it has to be specific to one only. I will try this when I get a chance.

I have had my Genie (Main) freeze when I'm fast-forwarding, but the kicker?!  I'm not running through the XB1.  It's the Genie's fault.. :/  I don't run any mini's in my home.

Fraggboy are you running the genie through any components, audio receiver etc?
