Call of Duty Live - Rank Reset?? HELP!!!

I was playing Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare "free for all" on XBox Live "multiplayer".  Suddenly everyone began to fly in the air...I continued to play (I now know that was a mistake).  The game ended, my stats were reduced from a 5 star general to a private.  I am now blocked from all Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare on line games since the only way to access any of the on line games is to promote to private first class.  I can't promote because the games are blocked.  So...my question is:  how do I delete my current gamer tag and create a new one that will allow to me once again play the game on line??  

You will have to create a new gold account as far as I'm aware. Next time you are in a game like that, you should dashboard out and turn your 360 off straight away.

Sorry it sounds like you were in a modded or hacked lobby of cod 4, unfortunately there is nothing that can be done to get your rank reset to what it was. And it would be no good getting in touch with the game developer, as they dont really worry about their old games anymore.

If you have friends that still play it, they could try and invite you into a game. You could also make a new gamertag, but any of your content or that wouldnt be transfered from your old gamertag to your new one

You need to make a new gamertag, not change it since the ban will transfer over to the changed one. Sorry that that happened to you but you are not the only one who has been wrongfully reset.

Soon that game will no longer be playable on the servers as it is getting older, most the time i get on it it wont even find a game.
