Hello,
For the past 7 months I have been unable to change my current WLID, I have contacted the support department when I first encountered this issue and I was told that a fix would be applied in early to late June. Though out June I waited and still was unable to change my WLID, so I called in again then I was told that the fix should be applied sometime in the summer. I waited and still no fix was applied that would allow me to change my WLID.
Here are a few of the steps I have tried:
- Logging into the account.live.com > change Windows Live ID > "Your Windows live ID can not be changed at this time"
- I have tried changing my WLID via the Xbox 360. When trying to do so I recieved the following error code: "80154023 - Can't retrieve information from Xbox. Please try again later". This code I recieved every time I tried to change the WLID on the Xbox 360.
- I waited for the fix to be applied, I tried to change my WLID today and it seems no fix has been yet applied.
I was wondering if there is anything that the Xbox support team can do that I am/was unable to do. I have a custom domain name that was issued though the windows live domains area, I am not sure if this is what caused the issue, but I would not think so.
I was told by another rep that I should just cut my losses and make a new gamertag with the desired WLID I want the current to be changed to. However, my question is this:
Will Xbox pay for the remaining months I have on live and pay for my current MS Points, maybe even let me use a hack to get all my statuses and points back on my new account without banning me? Yeah, I did not think so.
I do not want to make a new gamertag or account for many reasons, however, making a new account is just simply not an option. I am just wondering if something can be done to assist me in changing my current WLID.
Thanks,
Tyler. (elusiveDEVIANT)
