This Friday the Bugs are Back

Earth Defence Force: Insect Armageddon

is released this friday with 3 player online co-op or 2 player split screen.

following on from the success of the previous title which was more of an underground budget hit.

The new game is a budget title as well and according to play.com it will be released at £25 new so staying with the budget theme, the game lets you play a solider in what is basically a B movie esc sci-fi adventure. Think giant bugs robots spaceships and towering monster bosses.

"Earth Defence Force: 2017" remains the single greatest local coop experience on the XBox 360.

 

One of the greatest draw distances you'll find on the 360 along with an insane amount of upgrades and diverse weapons.

 

The "B-Movie" theme was so expertly done.

 

Despite having fairly basic character models the game still offers some of the greatest visuals on the 360, such as when the giant Hektor robots are storming the beach of Tsugawa.

I will wait for the inevitable bargain basement price. But it really looks like fun, and the graphics are much better than the first one, too.
