Fast internet on all devices except Xbox

so far within the last 2 days, every cable line and ethernet cord is all brand new. from the Utility pole, to the xbox.

configuration: cable line direct to cable modem, from cable modem thru ethernet to wireless router.

did a speed test on my phone thru wifi and got 10Mbps down and 2 up

on PC thru wireless got 10 down 3 up

on xbox thru wireless i got 1 down and .9 up

iphone thru 3G i got 19 down and 1 up

pc direct to wifi router i got 11 down and 3 up

xbox DIRECT to modem (bypass router) ( thru a brand new 5 ft ethernet cord) 1.3 down and .9 up

bandwidth on black ops (both) is 1400Kpbs

tried port forwarding to xbox mac address on the router

tried port forwarding to the port that the xbox was connected to via ethernet cord.

NEVER receives more than 1.4 down and 1 up speeds on Xbox. i have tried the speed tests thru 2 different sources on all devices.. all give within 1Mbps of each other.

Xbox is a 360S manufactured in Dec 2010 bought in Dec 2010.

Modem is a Surfboard provided via cable/isp

router is a Linksys Cisco wrt120N

Internet i pay for is 10Mbps which is what i get on all devices except xbox.

Why is the xbox so slow?

tried the FAQs and still didnt answer my question

Internet is fast on all 4 devices except Xbox 360 even when direct to cable modem

i have tried this

This has come up a few times by various people with the same results, it is my believe IE on the Xbox is not built for speed testing sites

I don't believe the Xbox is being slow its just that the speedtest is not reporting the real figures. People need to get over this, no-one was bothered about this prior to IE being available on the Xbox as you couldn't test it before.

halo 4, black ops 2, black ops 1, battlefield 3, forza all slow. and ive used a speed tester that is HTML5, so it shouldnt matter.

if it was just 1 game, i would get over it and just not play that game.

im not gonna "get over it" if i cant play games on xbox live. if i wanted crappy service id have gotten PSN. but i pay for this, and im a competitve gamer. only thing i need to know is, if its the Xbox, or an issue that i can fix.

during gameplay, i can go into a doorway just until my gun shows and i die. go into theater mode, and on the opponents screen, he "sees" me halfway or more into the room.

and the slowness on IE doesnt explain why it takes 10 minutes to upload a 30 second game clip to youtube.

i can upload a 5 minute clip to youtube in under 2 minutes

If you are experience lag when connected direct to the modem then you need to speak with your ISP about it, it isn't a router setting or router issue

that is good news. basically, its not the internal modem or w/e inside the Xbox? and its not a DNS issue with the xbox? i have tried manual and automatic DNS with no change.

No there is no modem in your Xbox its just a 10/100Mbps Ethernet port which is works much faster than your Internet connection

Many ISP's use traffic management on some protocols, ISP can suffer from lag and jitter, speak with your ISP and/or if you can try your Xbox at a friends house (wired) who uses a different ISP try that and see if you still get the same issue
