Family accounts?

You can still share content without having a gold subscription on each account. That's just part of the content's licenses. The family plan never had an affect on how content is shared. You just need to subscriptions if you want to play online.

Also, the One does allow sharing of a gold subscription over a console. So if you were planning on getting that, you would only need to purchase one subscription.

It is true that in preparation for the Xbox One launch the family plan was discontinued and existing users were converted to standard LIVE Gold accounts.  Each account was given an additional 3 months of time for each "seat" on the family plan.  Reason being, the Xbox One is capable of enabling an Xbox LIVE Home Gold account instead.  The Xbox LIVE Home Gold service allows ANY profile that logs into your Xbox One console to have access to your live services.  The Xbox One was essentially designed for customers just like YOU!  It is a wonderful investment, it will save you money, provide you access to entertainment for the whole family and it has a bunch of new features you can enjoy!  AND - you can keep your Xbox 360 because the same primary gamertag can be signed in on both the Xbox 360 AND the Xbox One at the same time.  Perfect for families... mom and dad can watch Netflix while the kids rock some Minecraft.  The Xbox One will pay for itself a few times over during it's lifetime just on Gold subscription savings alone.
