DVD audio out of sync with video

When watching a DVD, the audio starts getting out of sync after about 15 minutes of play. This occurred on two different DVDs so far. Is this a known issue?

Followup, if I pause playback and then play again the sound resyncs. Very annoying.

I've had the same problem, but only with DVDs. The problem didn't happen when I was watching a Blu-ray. By the end of the disc I felt like I was watching an old Godzilla movie. $500 later and I have to watch movies on my 360! I guess the One is like buying a new model car or OS. Never buy in the first year.

I tried watching some DVDs over the weekend and had the same issue. I had to go back to the 360 to watch them. Seemed scary to google the issue and this be the only thread about it.

DVDs have been unwatchable for me so far. I'm in the Uk and I'm wondering if it's something to do with DVDs recorded at 50hz. My 360 will switch my TV into 50hz mode, whereas the Xbox One doesn't. It does seem odd that more isn't made of this online. Blu-ray seems fine, although I also get an audio delay when I use DTS sound output from the optical on all audio. Contact Xbox chat support, tweet @majornelson, and hopefully they'll make sure this is fixed in the first patch. For an all in one media system etc, they've got a way to go.

Was watching my first dvd last night and after 45minutes the audio was totally out of sync. I paused and restarted and still out of sync. Had to finish watching on my ps3.  Sure hope this gets fixed.

I've had this issue as well.  I'm having to watch DVD's on my PS4. :S  The only thing I've seen support suggest in another thread was to uninstall and reinstall the Blu-Ray program (really??).  Didn't work.

I prefer my One over my PS4 but...this is quite aggravating.  Also don't like having to tell customers that movie watching is bugged on the One so I have to use my PS4.

I am having EXACT same issue, it seems intermittent, and as far as i can tell my netflix app does not have the issue. The one blu ray movie I watched did not seem to have the problem either, only seems to be with DVD movies and it has done it on 2 different DVD movies so far. I called MS support but only told me to use an optical audio cable to try and see if It corrects the problem. Tonight I am going to try only using my TV speakers instead of using my sound system to see if it still has an audio sync issue.

I'm having the exact same problem.  Doesn't matter if sound is coming through surround sound system or through speakers.  After a 10-15 minutes, sound doesn't sync with video.  Hope MS fixes this soon with an update.

This is an issue affecting a lot of people.  I suspect far more that the "few" that many game sites are reporting.  Many people that have this issue may not know it as they are likely not using the box for movies.  Here is a link to another posting on Blu-ray (same issues):  forums.xbox.com/.../1630530.aspx
