I am not going to recreate this entire thread because these symptoms are EXACTLY what has gone on with my sons Xbox continuously. I am very tech savvy and work in IT by profession. I have transferred the data from his main storage device, cleared his system
cache, cleared the market place data, and done EVERY troubleshooting step on these forums..........no luck.
What I have noticed is that I bought him a 4Gb Xbox with a Microsoft brand hard drive (250Gb). The main system (Content Cache) still prefers the 4Gb storage even though his hard drive is the main storage for the system. I have reformatted the drive about
5 times and copied his data back to the Microsoft brand HDD, but there is something getting lost in translation. Every day when he signs in it says that his profile is corrupt and barks up the same error code 8015B00E.
I figured that buying Microsoft's brand storage would be trustworthy, but it almost seems as if the HDD is corrupt. You would think that if there were bad sectors the Xbox would be smart enough to not try to write to them, but apparently that isn't the case.
What suggestions do you have for this CONSTANT profile error? I appreciate any suggestions OTHER than what is already provided in the quick guides and minimal info on these threads. Thank you.
