Can't download profile - Error: 8015B00E

Just tried to re-download one of my old profiles so I can have all of my downloaded content, but I'm getting the error code "8015B00E" everytime I put in my login information. The XBOX LIVE status page says that everything is working properly, so I don't know why I'm getting this. The login information I'm entering is correct.

Tried:

- Clearing cache (Twice)

- Restarting Xbox

- Restarting modem

Please help.

Hello,

Please go back to strorage, go to Games Data // Look for Marketplace Data // Delete It // Try re-downloading profile again.

Hello CONVERSE,

Clear your Marketplace system cache

The Xbox 360 console also stores temporary files for Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Clearing the Marketplace cache may fix your Xbox LIVE content download problem. Follow these steps:

  1. On your console, go to Settings, and then select System.
  2. Select Storage, and then select your primary storage device.
  3. Select System Items.
  4. Select Marketplace System Data.
  5. Select Delete.
  6. Restart your console.
  7. Try to download the profile again from Xbox LIVE.

If you still get status code 8015B00E, contact Xbox Support.

I am not going to recreate this entire thread because these symptoms are EXACTLY what has gone on with my sons Xbox continuously. I am very tech savvy and work in IT by profession. I have transferred the data from his main storage device, cleared his system cache, cleared the market place data, and done EVERY troubleshooting step on these forums..........no luck.

What I have noticed is that I bought him a 4Gb Xbox with a Microsoft brand hard drive (250Gb). The main system (Content Cache) still prefers the 4Gb storage even though his hard drive is the main storage for the system. I have reformatted the drive about 5 times and copied his data back to the Microsoft brand HDD, but there is something getting lost in translation. Every day when he signs in it says that his profile is corrupt and barks up the same error code 8015B00E.

I figured that buying Microsoft's brand storage would be trustworthy, but it almost seems as if the HDD is corrupt. You would think that if there were bad sectors the Xbox would be smart enough to not try to write to them, but apparently that isn't the case.

What suggestions do you have for this CONSTANT profile error? I appreciate any suggestions OTHER than what is already provided in the quick guides and minimal info on these threads. Thank you.

Hey buddy, I had this issue for a few hours and tried as much as you did.  I develop android apps and had frustration with the staff as they provided useless answers and have no one working on the issue.  Anyways, when I logged into the get the information, I notice my profile logs in as my password and email was being checked by the system, when this finally finished the error code 8015B00E would come up.  So I thought it was an issue with the security process.  I went on xbox live via url and whatnot and disabled the security process by getting rid of my console under profile protection.  I restarted my xbox and it worked.  I believe this issue is with the security.  I am too lazy to redo the security and will not want to try it again as I do not want to take the chance.  Good luck guys and don't count on these techs.  Believe in yourselves and look for the smallest thing, as it mostly turns out to be something the eye can't see that is the issue.

I really would like to sign in but I can't because of this error code. I redownloaded my account but all that did was manage to erase my theme and make the Xbox not want to acknowledge some of my achievements. I left the Xbox off for a while and turned it back on and that didn't help. I was online yesterday so something had to happen between then and now. I don't remember what the older code was, but for around a month I couldn't sign in to Xbox Live last year. I don't want that to be the problem again. But if that is the problem, atleast I will be able to play online in a month. It's good there are games that still have single player. Also, if anyone has GTA V, do you have problems loading in the DLC while you're offline?

Microsoft folks just solved this for me:

1) Settings > System > Storage > Hard Drive > Games & Apps

2) Look for apps with excalamation marks and delete them.

3) To clear the system cache:

Settings > System > Storage > Highlight Hard Drive > Press Y on the controller > Select YES to clear system cache. Do this 5x.

4) Restart console.

5)Once it comes back on, try to download your profile:

Social > Sign In > scroll all the way to the right > Download Profile

or Download Profile is on window when you press "home button"

Should be good to go once you download your profile.
