fwtsqmfile00.sqm in my temp folder- are these malicious?

I've noticed in the past couple of weeks my TEMP folder in Windows 7 has numerous fwtsqmfile*.sqm files in there. Are these legitimate or malicious? They seem to reappear after being deleted.

Hi,

Method 1:

You can safely delete any file or folder in the temp folder. Some might be currently in use - if so then they will remain.

You can try deleting the files in safe mode and check if it helps.

Method 2:

It might be some third party application is causing this issue. Put the system in clean boot. Follow the steps mentioned in the article given below to configure the system in clean boot.

Note: After you have finished installing, follow step 7 in the article to boot to normal startup.

 

Method 3:

Also try performing disk clean up and check if it helps

Also try running the online antivirus scan and check if you have any virus issue.
