How to upgrade my windows 10 version: 10.0.10240, to windows 10 version 1511 build 10586?

I started discovering that I am running an older version of windows, when I tried"searching the "Hey Cortana" feature, and it settings. Seeing it unavailable, and spotting many other problems, in various applications, I tried updating everything, Though the other updates were successful, the OS update failed about 10 times during installation (it would go till 91%, and then it would restart, showing: restoring to previous version of windows), and sometimes, during downloading the setup, it would restart downloading. I tried all of the methods suggested in all the forums, but was unsuccessful.

In the event, properties, it shows error in installation, with code: error 0x8024200D

Kindly, provide a solution to this problem, am confused, where, and whom to show this problem!

Okay folks, the solution that worked for me was; resetting the windows drive, and again starting the process from the beginning, and it did work. I think, the problem was with the previous failed attempts.

No need to Reset unless you had a corrupted install to begin with, in which case I'd go fully clean by clearing the drive following Clean Install Windows 10 with the latest version media. 

When there are problems with upgrading to the latest version via Updates, what almost always works is to use the latest media from Media Creation Tool to perform a repair upgrade using the Windows 10 ISO file - Microsoft Community
