Windows 10 & Face Recognition Sign On

I just downloaded Windows 10 from my prior 8.1.  However, my Facial Recognition Sign in via my built in camera on my Lenovo G510 laptop has gone away.  How do I get it back?

Hi,

Thanks for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

This issue might occur when the Camera driver is not updated.

I would suggest you to download the latest Camera driver from the manufacturer’s website and try installing it.

Refer to the below link:

Hope it helps, reply to us with the status of your issue. We will be happy to assist you.

The issue in general has to do with Veriface software.  There's is 1 posting of the issue on Lenovo's website, it states due to Windows limitations, it broke the capability it provided and thus it gets uninstalled for Windows 10.  No more facial recognition until some new capability is provided by Microsoft.  I think it's called 'Hello' seeing blogs posting back in March about it.

As for logging in without Veriface, the existing Microsoft account credentials will still work.  It has for me when I upgraded to Windows 10.

The Lenovo is still running 7 the ASUS was the problem however that seems to have sorted itself out thanks, do not ask how it has because I do not know apart from jiggling Alt Ctrl and escape whilst trying to log on. As I said I will hold of downloading 10 onto the Lenovo.

I've got the same problem on a Lenovo Ultrabook - loved 8, decided to go ahead with the WIN 10 upgrade.  Wonder what else I've lost besides face recognition sign-in and time looking for stuff that I hadn't lost under WIN 8.  So far, I'm a little frustrated.
