Hi Davood,

Overheating and draining battery at faster speed can be caused by one or multiple factors: the recent update you installed, processes and activities or tasks you're doing that can eat up your computer's memory, applications (particularly background apps) that can be responsible for battery drain and a few other things.

We need to get a bit more information to help you better. Please be as specific as possible in answering these questions, you can provide screenshots if you need to:

  • What's the most recent update you installed? You may check it under Settings > Update & security > Update history.
  • What troubleshooting steps have you performed so far?
  • Have you checked the Battery Report? Which applications are using up more battery?
  • On your Task Manager, which apps or processes are using a lot of CPU, Disk, and/or Network?

For now, these are the things we highly recommend for you to do:

  • Check for updates.

This can be a simple step, however, this can do the magic most of the times. Please make sure you have all the updates installed, Microsoft releases updates to fix problems, so it's possible for your heating and draining battery issue could be fixed by one of these updates. You can do this by going to the Settings > Update & security > Check for updates.

  • Make sure all your drivers are up to date.

Updating all your drivers is also one good practice. Your computer has different types of hardware components, and for them to communicate properly, it needs those device drivers to perform at their best. To ensure that they stay at their best performance, you need to update them on a regular basis.

  • Run the Software Repair Tool.

To make sure we address any software issues, if they are present, we recommend you run this tool.

We'll be here if you need additional assistance.
