How do I setup my document so that field codes are permanently hidden?

Original Title: "hide field codes"
I have an iMac OS X and use Office for Mac 2011 for Word etc.

Every time I open a document which has hyperlinks in for email of website addresses, the document shows the field code rather than the actual link.

How do I set up the document so that the field codes are permanently hidden?

Thanks
Answer
Answer
It isn't a setting within the document, it's an application setting :-) Use Option+F9 to toggle display of field codes on/off.

Alternatively you can right-click any given field & select Toggle Field Codes from the shortcut menu or use Command+A to select all, then use that method to toggle all field codes at once.
