Install Windows 10 on a GPT disk

Created a 75 GP partition on my hard drive that includes Windows 8.1 and a Data partition. Tried to "Custom" install and got the message that it cannot be installed to this partition because the disk is GPT. Why? Is this only a temporary restriction?

Answer
I technically have received the exact same problem.  I had to make it possible to boot from none UEFI mode  (I think it was called "Legacy Support" in the BIOS setting) because the Bootable USB Drive was not being detected.  After enabling "Legacy Support," I was able to boot from the USB Drive.
