the xbox cant read mw2

Probably a disk issue. You could try install the game and see if that helps or buy a new copy of the game. Can you borrow a mates one?

I am actually having the same problem, I was just playing it, took it out to try to play some gta, but my gta wont read (not scratched either?), so i put mw2 back in, now it wont play.

I have had this issue with Fallout 3...I took the disc to a friends house who did not load the 7/19 update and the game runs fine. I think it has something to do with the new update as this is the only game in my collecttion that all of a sudden can't read.

Yes I went through all the steps on my own and once over the phone with support. Like I said the game works on my friends 360 which is not hooked up to the internet. Xbox support said the game may not be supported on the 360 slim...I find that hard to believe though...
