Already purchased download has become unavailable

When using an account whose region does not match the physical region you live in, you may experience sporadic issues with purchasing and downloading. Now that you have created your properly region-ed account, you should be able to purchase and download content without any problem.

I think you missed my point. This is not a sporadic issue. I do realize that I am now able to purchase and download any - new - content without problems, since I have a new account.

But, what I'm trying to do is to re-download content which I have already paid for. Using a my newer account forces me to pay another 560 points for the same DLC... I hope this is not the only the kind of "solution" here?

I admit, this is a complex issue, but please, I don't see the point in paying again :(

If that really applies, then why was I actually able to download it in the first place? It makes no sense that it cant be downloaded anymore. Nothing has changed from the time that I have purchased this DLC and now that I am trying to redownload it. Same Gamertag, same region, same game and DLC.

If your account region no longer matches your physical location and your country is not one of the newly added regions, you would have to create a new account to reflect your location. If you don’t currently live in a LIVE supported region then you may continue to experience issues with purchasing or downloading from the marketplace.

the disk may work on a german console due to it being region free but that might not be the case for the DLC

I do realize that there are problems that could occur whenever trying to access out-of-area-content.

However, the in-game marketplace did let me buy and download a certain content. And that happened in Germany. I still am in Germany using the same Gamertag to redownload that content. There is just no reason that explains why this content has become unavailable.

Or let me put it this way - Just "What" happened to it? Again, there hasnt been any change of region since the time I purchased this DLC and now that I'm trying to redownload it.  So I think it is absolutely normal to expect that I could still download it, since I have done it before once already, right?

It just looks like the "link" to the content is there, but dead or the content has been deleted.

By the way, could it be that EA is somehow responsible for that? I mean, I bought the german version of Mass Effect 2 and accessed German content throughout the in-game store, even though I was connected with my japanese Gamertag. Its all really messed up..... still finding it weird why I was able to do it in the first place if I actually shouldnt.
